Article by WhiskeyChick Now if you ask around some people will say that Chip got his start playing drums in a traveling circus. Others will claim his fame to the punk bands One Man Army, and The US Bombs.
But to me Chip Hanna is best known for his one-man show playing at a
bit of a slower pace. From his cover of Hank Williams "His Burden is
Greater Than Mine" to his fun story-telling on "I Just Wanted a Good
Time" I just sit back, relax with a good drink and let the tales spill
out. Having recently toured Europe, and getting ready to set out abroad
again, he's a man of the world, but don't let that intimidate you. He's
also a regular at the Phoenix landmark Rhythm Room and other venues
here in the valley where we get our fill of him either on his own, or
in the band The Busted Hearts. Make sure you take a listen whenever you get a chance!

| Chippy is a god damned treasure! And we are damned lucky to have him in AZ! he's got so much honesty in his voice and tales. Eah show Chippy does is a treat, and we are going to miss the hell out of him while he sings to floks all over Europe, when he does return everyone should show up to his next perfomance to welcome him and Erin back home. We'll miss ya Chippy! |
